weve finally gotten to spend time with the 3 of us after a few days & this afternoon was a nice way to spend it. it was freezing. we decided to eat at the shish kabob place on fayetville st. (cuz i thought it looked so new yorkish). so i parked way too far & we walked freezing our little butts off to get there. then we had to go to the new starbucks underneath the mariott if we were going to walk back all the way to the car. so while we drank our cream brulee latte & caramel apple cider ms. s spotted the skating rink & had to go iceskate (as if shes been doing it for years) & she wasnt taking no for an answer. & since dahling is so handy dandy in everything in life & knows how to do this lovely sport-he was the only one willing to go out there to fulfill his daughters wish. as they did what they could out there i couldnt stop laughing at how ms. s had her hat all up in her face & her jacket all picked up with her tiny belly showing as he tried to make her do little twists on ice. i got a kick out of the whole thing. i thought itd be nice to go get the car until they were done doing their rounds. as i ran to get the car my feet froze away but i knew i had to go get the car. love makes you do crazy things.
so on the way i dropped in to port city jave to get a ginger chai as i knew theyd need that as soon as they would jump in the car.
from there we went to my fav. & cute as heck cupcake shoppe on glenwood for my fav. carrot cake one as ms. s surprisingly passed the green or pink frosting & settled on a simple cinn. one. driving home ms. s fell asleep & dahling & i relaxed & took a power nap of literally 15 mins.
as i stood in the hot shower for way too long i couldnt help but feel a little more normal than i had felt in days.
